Florida is a scenically diverse state with interesting history. It has the two oldest cities in the Unities States, and has many 'end of the road' locations, quaint fishing villages, award winning beaches and charming old small towns. It’s difficult to pin down what town is the 'oldest' in the state, since so many of our towns predate Florida as a state, or even as a U.S. territory. The approach taken for this Collection used the official date of incorporation to help find the 10 oldest towns, but it’s all open to interpretation. Now, besides photography opportunities (my passion), these towns offer great places to visit. Our source - Towns. |
