After talking about a east coast Florida photo venture with my photo buddy Eddy, we selected a two day swing (while our better halves were working and away) for a guy trip. The itinerary was Main St Jacksonvilletold us where we had to go. Bridge night time shot, St Augustine street photography at 11:00pm - 12:00am, head towards Daytona but sleep 5 hrs. before Daytona sunrise.
Finding the Bridge was a chore "there it is ... but we can't get there from here". We were working off photos from 500px to establish our shoot from position, and in order to get help, I simply entered a restricted parking area - hoping the golf cart riding guard would approach us. He did and PERFECT! Next stop St Augustine. We both have been there before and we set 60 mins to capture whatever we could. We did and on the way we go. Our motel was terrific - midway between Jax and Daytona, clean, recently upgraded and terrific price. Then it was up and at'em at 5:00 am for a 40 min. drive to Daytona.
